Hundreds gathered at the Kennedy Center in Washington on Sunday for a vigil honoring Charlie Kirk, the co-founder of Turning Point USA, with attendees expressing that his impact was significant. Separately, two men were arrested in Magna, Utah, on Saturday for allegedly leaving an incendiary device under a FOX 13 News vehicle. The vigil featured tributes from public figures, including Tulsi Gabbard, who quoted Martin Luther King Jr. and Kirk's own prayers, emphasizing the need to resist silence and hate with light and love. Robert F. Kennedy Jr. stated that Kirk was instrumental in his "unification with President Trump" and credited him with leading efforts for freedom of speech. An attendee told The Daily Signal that Kirk's "death is not in vain…his impact isn't only on me, it's literally on the world." In Utah, Adeeb Nasir, 58, and Adil Justice Ahmed Nasir, 31, were booked into jail on charges including Threat of Terrorism, Possessing Weapons of Mass Destruction, and Possessing Explosive Devices. The device, found on Friday, had reportedly been lit but failed to function. Meanwhile, Ryder Corral, 19, was arrested on September 14, 2025, for vandalizing a Charlie Kirk memorial at the Turning Point USA headquarters in Phoenix with charges including criminal damage, disorderly conduct, and trespassing. Corral's attire reportedly matched that of the alleged assassin of Charlie Kirk. Previous reports indicated that President Trump intended to travel to Arizona for Kirk's memorial and had condemned those celebrating his death. Governor Kathy Hochul had endorsed Zohran Mamdani for New York City Mayor, stating opposition to President Trump's agenda. President Trump also made comments regarding Venezuela and stated he would "probably have to" intervene in Ukraine peace talks.
