Meanwhile, Representative Ro Khanna stated on social media that the Epstein birthday book is in the hands of the Epstein estate and lawyers will turn it over. Khanna said he will work with Oversight Democrats to subpoena the book, emphasizing that this action is for the victims and justice. Khanna also questioned why Steve Bannon had not been subpoenaed regarding 15 hours of Jeffrey Epstein footage he reportedly possesses, linking to a Business Insider article about Bannon's documentary on Epstein's friendship with Donald Trump. Separately, the Chair of the Democratic Governors Association, Governor Laura Kelly of Kansas, stated that Democratic governors are focused on issues that matter to their states and do not have a "Project 2025." She highlighted strong Democratic gubernatorial candidates in Virginia and New Jersey this year and 36 races next year, encouraging voters to "protest with Trump at the ballot box."
