Utah authorities are continuing the manhunt for Charlie Kirk's assassin following his shooting on September 10th in Orem, Utah. A Utah Valley University student reported contacting the FBI after spotting a male suspect on or near the Losee Center roof twice in the weeks prior to the shooting, stating the individual strongly resembled images of a person of interest. The student also added that a professor had confronted the individual on the roof, according to a September 12th report. The FBI recovered the shooter's weapon and ammunition near Utah Valley University and collected trace evidence from the rooftop where the shot was taken, as stated by Utah Public Safety Commissioner Beau Mason on September 11th. Authorities currently "have no idea" of the killer's whereabouts. Separately, Senator Marsha Blackburn sent an urgent letter on September 12th to Secret Service Director Sean Curran demanding the "immediate termination" of a Secret Service agent who allegedly posted on Facebook that Charlie Kirk deserved to be murdered. President Donald Trump previously denounced Kirk's killing as "disgraceful" and announced plans for a posthumous Presidential Medal of Freedom award. Vice President JD Vance participated in an honor guard for Kirk in Salt Lake City, Utah. A retired FBI profiler, quoted in a September 12th report from the New York Post, suggested that the assassin likely lacks social skills and did not plan for the aftermath of the attack.
