Twenty-two-year-old Tyler Robinson was taken into custody in southern Utah on Friday morning, September 12th, in connection with the assassination of Charlie Kirk. Utah Governor Spencer Cox confirmed "We got him!" on Friday morning. Sources told Fox News that Robinson was arrested after his father turned him in. Robinson is accused of assassinating Charlie Kirk on Wednesday, September 10th, at approximately 12:20 pm MT during an event at Utah Valley University, where Kirk was reportedly shot before the suspect jumped off a building. A new video circulating online shows Robinson receiving a scholarship for Utah State University. President Donald Trump had previously announced on Fox News that authorities had apprehended the suspect with "a high degree of certainty" and later stated the suspect's father encouraged him to turn himself in. Robinson's arrest follows an extensive manhunt, during which authorities recovered the shooter's weapon and ammunition near Utah Valley University.
