U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), chairman of the State and Foreign Operations Subcommittee, posted on X over the past 59 minutes that he will present a proposal to Israel and the Trump administration to dramatically expedite termination of U.S. military aid to Israel, following Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's statement that Israel aims to end reliance on the aid within a decade, to redirect billions toward President Trump's $1.5 trillion military budget goal. Graham stated in the post, "The aid we have provided to Israel has been a great investment keeping the IDF strong, sharing technology, and making their military more capable - to the benefit of the United States." He added, "We have no better ally than Israel," but noted Israel's roaring economy and self-sufficiency, saying the savings "will and should be plowed back into the U.S. military." Netanyahu said, "We have come of age and we have developed incredible capacities." Separately, an X post by @disclosetv during the same period stated U.S. billionaires Bill Gates, Peter Thiel, Ronald Lauder, Sam Altman, Jeff Bezos and others have built a footprint in Greenland since President Trump's first term, investing in AI-driven drilling for rare earths and plans to develop a "freedom city." This follows a Daily Mail report shared on X earlier on Jan. 11 that President Trump ordered special forces commanders to draw up an invasion plan for Greenland, resisted by senior military figures.
