Mike Stuart, general counsel for Minnesota Human Services, announced on X over the past hour that his team secured a temporary court pause to the Trump administration's latest measures targeting assistance programs for vulnerable Minnesota families, vowing to permanently block the actions in court. Stuart stated in the post: "Great news: we have secured a temporary pause to Trump’s latest assault on the most vulnerable Minnesota families. My team and I will be in court working to permanently block Trump’s illegal and deeply cruel actions." A post on X during the same period criticized Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison for allowing criminal Somali networks and other fraudsters to steal taxpayer dollars from deserving recipients, questioning why Ellison demands the "fraud spigot stay flowing" after more than seven years as AG. The post praised the Department of Health and Human Services and Secretary Kennedy, stating "@HHSGov and @SecKennedy will continue to do all in our power to protect hard working Minnesotans from fraudsters and criminal networks." This development follows Department of Homeland Security announcements on Jan. 10 that lawbreakers departed Minneapolis on deportation flights. Separately, U.S. Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse posted on X a video depicting a law enforcement officer firing in self-defense after his life was endangered, countering narratives that the officer murdered an innocent woman without provocation.
