One of the last remaining Jews from Yemen arrived in Israel last month. The individual, identified as the wife of Yahya Yosef who passed away over a year ago, was reportedly accompanied by a local Ethiopian official when she departed Yemen, according to Yemeni journalist Ali Ibrahim al-Muchi. Her relatives met her and facilitated her journey to Israel. Al-Muchi stated on his Facebook account earlier this month that the death of her husband and his prolonged illnesses, along with family pressure, led her to leave Yemen. Yosef was buried by non-Jews in Yemen, as noted by the same factor. The report suggests that her departure occurred in June. In separate news, local groups supporting former Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad convened in Tehran earlier this month. Critics, including a former advisor, suggest Ahmadinejad views Iran's 2025 situation similarly to the Soviet Union in 1991 and is preparing for the potential collapse of the current government led by President Pezeshkian.
