The Prime Minister of the Houthi rebels, Ahmed al-Rahawi, was reportedly killed in an Israeli strike on an apartment in Sana'a yesterday. Assistants to the Houthi Political Council and Chief of Staff Mahmoud al-Gdi were also eliminated in the attack, according to Arab media outlets including Yemen’s Al-Jumhuriya channel. Arab media outlets, citing Al-Jumhuriya channel, stated that al-Rahawi, described as the prime minister of "change and construction," was eliminated along with some of his associates. The reports emerged this morning, detailing the casualties from the strike. In a separate development, the Lebanese newspaper Al-Akhbar, affiliated with Hezbollah, reported that Lebanese Army Commander General Rudolf Heikal conveyed a message indicating a preference for resignation over the shedding of Lebanese blood by the army amidst pressures regarding Hezbollah's disarmament. The newspaper also claimed that Lebanese President Joseph Aoun is aware of a plan and a proposed schedule for the dismantling of Hezbollah, with Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salamah determined to proceed.
