The Houthi government in Yemen has officially announced the deaths of its prime minister and several other senior officials following an Israeli operation codenamed "Lucky." The announcement confirms earlier reports circulating within Israel's defense establishment. According to multiple sources, those confirmed eliminated in the Israeli attack include the Prime Minister, the Director of the Political Bureau, the Welfare Minister, the Agriculture Minister, the Minister of Economy, the Minister of Justice, the Minister of Information, the Foreign Minister, and the government's secretary. The Houthi de facto Minister of Defense, Major General Mohammed Nasser Al-Atifi, who had been the subject of earlier reports claiming he was killed, appeared publicly to deny these reports and affirm the readiness of Houthi forces. He stated, “We stand with the Sayyid [Sir], our leader [Abdulmalik Al-Houthi]—may God protect him. He commands us, and we are his missiles and his army.” In response to the casualties, Mohammed Ahmed Miftah has been named as the caretaker prime minister. Miftah, described as a prominent Zaidi scholar and preacher, has a long history with the Houthi movement, having been a companion of Hussein Al-Houthi and a student of Badr Al-Deen Al-Houthi. His influence within the movement is considered significant, particularly after his appointment to chair the Committee to Support Jerusalem. The Houthi media office released a statement acknowledging the loss of "great men" but asserting that they have "preserved our religion, our morals, our dignity, our humanity and our jurisprudence" and will continue the fight. The statement expressed trust in God and a commitment to continuing the battle despite difficulties and sacrifices. Separately, an electronic campaign previously scheduled to launch today, which aimed to expose the alleged theft of Yemenis' data by the Houthi militia, has been postponed. The campaign will now take place next Monday at 7 PM Yemen time, under the hashtags #Iran_Steals_Yemenis_Data and #إيران_تسرق_بيانات_اليمنيين. Organizers expressed hope for a more impactful launch at the new time. In economic news, Iran's currency continued its decline, reaching 1,040,000 Real to one American dollar on the first day of its work week, nearing its historic low, according to Bloomberg.
