Israeli airstrikes targeted senior Houthi officials in Sana'a, Yemen, earlier today, according to Israeli security sources. The strikes, described as a "large-scale operation" involving multiple assets, reportedly hit gathering points of high-ranking Houthi figures, including the chief of staff. Israeli security officials stated that a significant number of senior officials were present at various locations in Sana'a which were attacked simultaneously within minutes. This action is described as exploiting precise intelligence and operational capabilities, with an estimated gathering to observe a leader. The operation has been codenamed "A Drop of Luck." In contrast, a source from Yemen's Ministry of Defense denied the targeting of leaders, asserting that the strikes hit civilian notables and the Yemeni people due to their support for Gaza. The source called the aggression "failed" and stated that Yemeni operations would only cease with the end of the aggression and lifting of the siege on Gaza. Defense Minister Israel Katz stated, "We warned the Houthis there would be more blows. Anyone who attacks us takes his life in his hands," according to statements accompanying footage of Israeli strikes in Yemen. The IDF Spokesman confirmed that the Air Force "precisely struck a Houthi terrorist regime military target in the area of Sanaa in Yemen," adding that the Houthi organization operates under Iranian direction and funding to harm Israel and its allies. Local sources reported that Israeli airstrikes also targeted homes where Houthi leaders were reportedly hiding, with over 11 strikes hitting Sana'a, specifically areas like Hadda, Beit Boss, Al-Nahdin base, Fifty and Fifty, and Gj Atan. The home of Yemeni businessman Jamal Al-Hathra, owner of the Hadda Water factory, was also reportedly targeted by four Israeli strikes. Separately, France, Germany, and the United Kingdom initiated a process to reimpose UN sanctions on Iran, known as "snapback sanctions," in response to Iran's defiance of its nuclear commitments. The United States supports this decision. Iranian Foreign Minister stated that Iran would respond appropriately to preserve its national rights and interests, while the E3 foreign ministers informed Iran of triggering the snapback procedure and expressed readiness for diplomatic solutions within a 30-day period.
