Houthi Deputy Interior Minister Abdulmajed al-Murtada was reportedly killed yesterday in Sana'a during Israeli airstrikes, according to reports. The strikes targeted the Houthi-held Al-Nahdin base and complex. Residents reported approximately 10 Israeli airstrikes on the Sana'a location. Major General Mohamed Abdel Karim Al-Ghammari, Chairman of the General Staff, stated that the targeting of civilian neighborhoods in Sana'a by the "Zionist enemy" "will not pass without punishment." Al-Ghammari also asserted that Yemen "will not back down from the support of Gaza, whatever the size of the targeting or sacrifice," and that escalation in Gaza or towards Yemen is a "sign of impotence and failure." Sources indicated that Israeli coordinates were observed flying in the airspace of Baalbek in eastern Lebanon. Separately, a Houthi summit reportedly took place in Sana'a at the villa of a senior member of the organization's engineers, with the military chief of staff, Sarak al-Sharaki, and his office manager in attendance.
