The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) eliminated a key terrorist, Ali Jamil, within Hezbollah's Air Defense System in the Nabatieh area of Lebanon earlier on Monday, October 6th. The IDF stated that Jamil was a central figure in the organization's air defense efforts and was involved in procurement with Iran. The IDF considers his actions a violation of understandings between Israel and Lebanon and a threat to Israeli security. According to the IDF Spokesman, the elimination was validated and carried out by the Air Force and Intelligence Division. The statement emphasized that Jamil's activities were significant in rehabilitating the organization's air defense system and were connected to Iranian entities. The IDF reiterated its commitment to removing any threats to the State of Israel. This development follows a wave of IDF attacks in Lebanon targeting Hezbollah's Radwan training camps, which commenced around 10:34 AM UTC. The Israeli Political-Security Cabinet indicated these strikes were aimed at disrupting Hezbollah's operational capabilities by targeting camps described as storing assets. Earlier in the day, between 7:34 AM and 10:34 AM UTC, Israeli forces conducted a precision drone strike in Zibqin, southern Lebanon, eliminating a Hezbollah operative and targeting a vehicle on Zibdin Road in the Nabatieh sector.
