CENTCOM Commander General Michael Kurilla is conducting a farewell tour across the Middle East, visiting Pakistan, Kuwait, Bahrain, and Saudi Arabia, receiving honors and awards as his tenure concludes. This comes as new activity has been observed at Iranian nuclear facilities in Esfahan and Fordow over the past week, with access being gained to a previously blocked tunnel entrance at the Esfahan site. The Esfahan nuclear site has shown recent activity, including vehicles at the northernmost tunnel entrance which was recently cleared of backfilled dirt, according to reports from the last few days. The middle tunnel entrance at Esfahan exhibited activity in mid-July with heavy machinery present, though progress on establishing portal access had not been significant by the end of July. Roadblocks persist at the southernmost tunnel entrance, with no visible activity. Minimal activity is also noted at the destroyed aboveground buildings at the main Esfahan site, with some roads cleared but limited vehicle presence. At the Fordow facility, new imagery reveals a road under construction towards the hills east of the site, within its security perimeters, though earthworks near ventilation shafts have ceased. Observable activity at the primary tunnel entrances leading into the Fordow enrichment facility is absent. The situation at both locations is being continuously monitored for updates.
