The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) conducted a second wave of strikes targeting Hezbollah weapons warehouses in southern Lebanon between 3:18 PM and 6:18 PM UTC on September 18th, 2025. The IDF warned residents in Tair Zebna and Burj Qalawieh to evacuate buildings used by Hezbollah prior to the attacks, citing the organization's attempts to restore infrastructure. Separately, a drone, possibly from Yemen, struck the entrance to a hotel in Eilat, Israel, causing light damage and reportedly one UN injury. The IDF stated that the targeted warehouses were located within civilian areas, which they claim is evidence of Hezbollah using human shields. According to IDF spokesperson Avichay Adraee, these actions are a response to Hezbollah's efforts to rebuild its Radwan Unit capabilities, which were reportedly degraded by earlier strikes in September. The Defense Army asserts that it has been working to counter these rebuilding attempts over the past two years and will continue to remove threats to Israel. The Lebanese Army reported over 4,500 Israeli "breaches" since the last cessation of hostilities agreement, including attacks on villages and civilians resulting in casualties. They also reported discovering and dismantling Israeli spyware in the Al-Labuna-Tire area, stating these violations hinder their deployment and plans in the south. Meanwhile, French President Emmanuel Macron confirmed on Thursday that a "snapback" of UN sanctions against Iran is set to occur, with a draft resolution to continue lifting sanctions to be circulated to the Security Council for a vote on September 19th. UN sanctions are scheduled to be reimposed on Iran on September 27th. Earlier in the day, sirens had sounded in Eilat due to a suspected drone infiltration, with eyewitnesses reporting a drone impact. The IDF also confirmed that its defense systems operated to counter a missile threat from Yemen towards Israeli territory. The Arrow 3 defense system was reported to have intercepted a missile. The IDF had previously issued evacuation warnings for buildings in Mays al-Jabal, Kafr Tibnit, and Dibbine, instructing residents to move at least 500 meters away from specified locations.
