An Israeli raid targeted the seventy area, south of Sana'a, on Thursday evening, striking a headquarters used by Houthi Chief of Staff Mohamed Abdel Karim Ahmed Al-Ghammari. This marks the second time Al-Ghammari has been targeted by Israeli forces, following an attack on June 14. Israeli sources have reported his death, though Houthi media circulated statements from Major General Al-Ghammari on Friday evening, more than 24 hours after the attacks. "Davans Line" reported that the strike approached facilities used by Al-Ghammari near his residence in the seventy area. Activists have circulated news of the death of an official in Al-Ghammari's guard. According to "Davans Line" sources, the strike involved a car used by Al-Ghammari. Separately, reports suggest Houthi Deputy Interior Minister Abdulmajed al-Murtada was killed in Israeli airstrikes yesterday in Sana'a, with residents reporting around 10 Israeli airstrikes on the Houthi-held Al-Nahdin base and complex. Major General Mohamed Abdel Karim Al-Ghammari stated that the "Zionist enemy targeting the civilian neighborhoods in Sana'a will not pass without punishment." He added that Yemen will not back down from supporting Gaza, regardless of the targeting or sacrifice, and that Israeli escalation in Gaza or towards Yemen is a sign of impotence. Al-Ghammari was appointed Head of the Houthi Staff in December 2016. He was previously targeted in an Israeli attack on June 14 in the October 14 neighborhood. In other developments, Israeli coordinates were reported to be flying in the airspace of Baalbek in eastern Lebanon. A soldier from the southern forces was killed by a Houthi sniper in the Fakhr Al-Shamal Front in Al-Dhali. In Lebanon, a government meeting to discuss an army plan for Hezbollah was postponed to Friday.
