The Lebanese army killed Hussein Raad, known as "Dabaa", during an armed clash with an army patrol in the Hermel region, Baalbek, earlier today. Four individuals accompanying Raad were injured in the military operation. The operation is considered a significant blow to kidnapping and robbery networks that have been active in the region. Raad was a wanted suspect. Separately, the defense establishment is investigating whether a missile launched last night towards Israeli territory had a split explosive. The missile was dismantled shortly before reaching Israeli territory, and the Air Force intercepted its parts. Investigations are underway to determine if each part contained a separate explosive. This development follows a campaign against Iran in June, during which Iran reportedly used a number of blasts with a similar explosive head, suggesting a potential transfer of similar weapons systems.
