Protesters surrounded the Solo City DPRD building on Saturday morning, August 30th, 2025, setting a fire that engulfed a portion of the structure and destroyed one vehicle. Fire department vehicles en route to the scene were reportedly driven by demonstrators. In parallel, the Indonesian National Army (TNI) is reportedly preparing to intervene in ongoing protests in Jakarta. Soldiers observed have been seen armed with Belgian-made FN FNC assault rifles chambered in 5.56x45mm NATO ammunition, according to reports. Messages circulating online urged participants to monitor and support each other, avoid provocation, and reject infiltration of the protests.
