Pakistani Taliban affiliates launched an attack on the Hassan Khel Police Station in Mattani, Peshawar, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, this morning. Police forces have responded with a strong counter-operation, and the situation remains active with ongoing exchanges of fire. As of 9:05 AM UTC, police have eliminated two of the seven enemy combatants involved in the assault. The counteroffensive is continuing to address the remaining attackers.
