Reports indicate a large number of Taliban fighters were detected near the border with Pakistan in Helmand and Kandahar provinces, with clashes occurring at a security post in the Ghiljo areaās Mahmodzai post in Orakzai district. The Afghan Taliban's actions at the Wesh-Chaman border involved damaging the Friendship Gate, and a girl child was injured on the Pakistani side by a bullet. The injured and deceased from the Spin Boldak clashes were transferred to hospitals, as stated by a reporter. These events follow previous reports from earlier this morning, October 15th, 2025, detailing Afghan Taliban forces destroying part of the border area at the Spin BoldakāChaman crossing between 3:36 AM and 4:05 AM UTC. During that period, Pakistani Army and Frontier Corps (FC) personnel reportedly withdrew from the area, with some sources describing the Taliban entering Spin Boldak freely. Prior to that, between 2:36 AM and 3:36 AM UTC, Afghan Taliban forces were reported to have targeted border infrastructure, attempting to blow up parts of the Spin BoldakāChaman crossing in the Mazal Gali area, with fuel containers observed suggesting further damage plans.
