Zelaya's remarks follow his earlier call for Libre supporters to protest near INFOP facilities along Fuerzas Armadas Boulevard and Kennedy Boulevard in Tegucigalpa to back Moncada and Jorge Aldana during the CNE special vote count, as reported by Abriendo Brecha in the previous hour. Libre supporters had gathered near INFOP between 4:17 p.m. and 7:17 p.m., throwing stones at National Party members, obstructing traffic, burning tires on the northern highway, and assaulting a motorcyclist, per Abriendo Brecha.
