All major roads leading to Baguio City from the Ilocos Region are closed to all vehicle types as of Monday, September 22nd, 2025, due to the impacts of Super Typhoon Ragasa, also known as NandoPH. The Department of Public Works and Highways-Cordillera reported the closures, citing landslides and falling rocks. The affected routes include Kennon Road, Marcos Highway (Aspiras–Palispis Highway), and Asin–Nangalisan–San Pascual Road. Specifically, Marcos Highway and San Pascual Road have experienced landslides, while Kennon Road was shut down due to falling rocks, according to the Department of Public Works and Highways-Cordillera. These closures come as Super Typhoon Ragasa continues to impact the Philippines. Previous reports indicated the storm's core was passing just north of the Babuyan Islands, with extreme wind gusts hitting Santa Ana, Cagayan. Babuyan Island was situated within the eye of the storm, while Calayan Island experienced the inner eyewall. Earlier observations noted chaotic wind conditions and heavy onshore swells impacting the east coast of Basco, Philippines.
