Super Typhoon Ragasa is currently impacting Hong Kong, with reports indicating severe storm conditions. Social media posts throughout the reporting window, between 7:37 PM and 10:06 PM UTC on September 23rd, 2025, described Super Typhoon Ragasa as "ripping in Hong Kong." This follows the Hong Kong Observatory's issuance of the highest Hurricane Signal, No. 10, earlier on September 23rd, 2025, at 2:40 AM local time, due to the approach of Typhoon Nan-cheung. The current report does not specify if Ragasa is a new storm or a renaming/intensification of Nan-cheung. The previous report noted that the No. 10 signal was issued due to expected destructive storm force winds, the first such signal since Typhoon Mangkhut in 2018. The observatory had advised the public to take precautions and stay indoors.
