Super Typhoon Ragasa, also known as NandoPH, has further intensified with 1-minute sustained winds reaching 180 miles per hour, according to a September 22nd update from FaytuksNetwork. The increase in wind speed marks a significant development for the powerful storm. This strengthening of Ragasa comes as the typhoon was previously projected to bring heavy rainfall and potential storm surges to regions including Luzon and parts of central Philippines. Earlier reports indicated projections of over 400 mm of rain in some areas. Separately, on September 21st, the Bouches-du-Rhône region in France experienced flash flooding after a storm delivered 62 millimeters of rain in 40 minutes, as reported by MeteoExpress. Precipitation measurements were confirmed by Laurent Bessaha, with ongoing rain noted in Toulon.
