The Warren County Sheriff's Office confirmed the alert was an error and stated there is no threat to the community. The alert, which instructed residents to "Secure Doors and Windows," was intended for a small area within Deerfield Township for a SWAT callout, according to an alert page. Officials are now asking residents not to call 911 regarding the misplaced alert. Residents living in the Woodfield development in Deerfield Township have been asked to shelter in place until further notice due to the isolated incident, as stated by the Warren County Sheriff's Office on X, formerly Twitter. The sheriff's office emphasized that this is an isolated incident and there is no danger to the broader community.
