Israel is reportedly considering allowing approximately 100 Hamas terrorists trapped in an underground infrastructure in southern Gaza to return to the Hamas-controlled part of the Strip unharmed, according to Arab reports and a publication on N12. Senior IDF officials confirmed this morning that the Chief of Staff's position is that these terrorists should be eliminated, but if extracted, it should only be in exchange for hostages. National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir, however, has appealed to the Prime Minister demanding the elimination or imprisonment of all 200 terrorists beyond the "yellow line," stating it is an opportunity to "destroy or stop them - not to release them under irrefutable conditions." These developments come as police suspect the husband of former Chief IDF Military Advocate Yifat Tomer Yerushalmi, who was arrested previously on suspicion of leaking materials and obstructing evidence, may have been aware of her intention to disappear and participated in the staged event. A senior police officer told News 14 that they are investigating the suspicion that Yerushalmi's husband is involved in disrupting the investigation. Earlier, IDF commanders, including Southern Command chief Maj. Gen. Yaniv Asor, saluted the caskets of Col. Asaf Hamami, Cpt. Omer Neutra, and Staff Sgt. Oz Daniel in a ceremony in the Gaza Strip last night. Military representatives confirmed this morning that Hamas returned the bodies to Israel last night after identification efforts. In a separate development, President Donald Trump conferred with the parents of fallen hostage Omer Neutra, Ronan and Orna Neutra, on November 3rd, 2025, discussing the return of other abductees, including American citizen Itay Chen. The Neutras informed President Trump that at least eight additional abductees need to be returned.
