Violent explosions were also reported northeast of Khan Yunis, with explosive robots detonating. The incident occurred amidst ongoing conflict in the region. Palestinians were reported to be near an Israeli Merkava tank in Wadi Gaza. Hamas leader Ghazi Hamad stated this morning that a comprehensive deal is the most appropriate solution to stop the war and end the suffering of the Palestinian people, warning that partial deals allow Israel to resume hostilities. Israeli President Isaac Herzog shared images of hostages held by Hamas for 666 days, describing their suffering and accusing Hamas of starving the Gazan population and blocking humanitarian aid. He urged world leaders to call for the release of hostages and ensure aid reaches civilians, not terrorists. Meanwhile, Hamad also attributed the initiative by several states to recognize a Palestinian state as a consequence of the October 7th events.
