A restaurant in Khan Younes, South Gaza Strip, named "Wanas" but previously "Nova" in honor of the October 7 Hamas attack on the Nova music festival, has been highlighted for its lavish feasting, according to social media posts from approximately 14 hours ago. The posts, under the hashtag #TheGazaYouDontSee, suggest a return to pre-conflict excesses in Gaza. This comes as President Donald Trump commented on the conflict, stating "Jihadism and antisemitism does not work." Instagram stories shared on October 15th, 2025, at approximately 10:00 PM UTC, showed "excesses of before 7 October '23" at the Wanas Restaurant & Café. One post described the venue as "previously named 'Nova' in honor of the horrific Hamas massacre at the music festival on Oct 7." The reports emerged as the Israeli government stated on October 16th, 2025, that Hamas continues to hold the bodies of 21 hostages, a violation of a ceasefire agreement. On October 15th, 2025, the IDF confirmed the return of the bodies of two Israelis abducted by Hamas on October 7th, 2023: Inbar Haiman and Senior Sergeant Major Muhammad el-Atrash. Identification procedures were completed by the National Center for Forensic Medicine. Haiman was killed at the Nova music festival, and el-Atrash died in battle on October 7th, 2023. Their deaths were officially declared in December 2023 and June 2024, respectively. The IDF stated that efforts continue to return missing abductees and urged Hamas to fulfill its part of an agreement.
