The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and Shin Bet announced today, September 27th, 2025, that a Hamas operative, Muhammad Ahmad Yousef al-Jamal, who killed officer Ch. Insp. Arnon Zmora during a hostage rescue mission last summer, was killed in a recent airstrike in the Gaza Strip. Al-Jamal was reportedly guarding hostages Almog Meir Jan, Andrey Kozlov, and Shlomi Ziv when Israeli forces raided an apartment in Nuseirat on June 8, 2024. In addition to al-Jamal, the airstrike also killed Sari Idris Muhammad al-Aqrab, a Hamas terrorist who invaded Israel on October 7th and was considered close to al-Jamal, according to the Shin Bet. The IDF also reported that the home of a terrorist involved in an attack in Jerusalem less than three weeks ago was demolished overnight by IDF forces, a process that typically takes months. Separately, data released today by Yacov Livne via X highlighted that the UN General Assembly has passed 173 condemnations of Israel between 2015 and 2025, significantly more than combined condemnations of Iran (10), North Korea (10), Syria (12), and Russia (29). Amidst ongoing operations in Gaza, a post shared on X approximately one day ago shows Eslim Barbakh selling 25kg sacks of UN aid flour in the Gaza Strip for 50 shekels ($15). The post is tagged with #TheGazaYouDontSee. Previous reports from this morning, September 27th, 2025, indicated that the IDF had stated over 750,000 Palestinians had evacuated Gaza City to the Strip's south as part of an intensified Israeli offensive. Hospital sources speaking to Al Jazeera also reported that 51 Palestinians had been killed in Israeli attacks in Gaza since dawn.
