Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu reversed a decision allowing 200 Hamas terrorists besieged in a Rafah tunnel to cross to Gaza unharmed, following public and political criticism. Security officials confirmed this morning that Israel had previously been amenable to their safe passage provided they surrendered their weapons. The terrorists, who have killed three IDF soldiers recently, were reportedly the subject of mediation efforts. This development comes as the remand of former military advocate general Maj. Gen. Yifat Tomer-Yerushalmi was extended until Wednesday. Tomer-Yerushalmi and former chief military prosecutor Col. Matan Solomosh were arrested last night by police, suspected of leaking the Sde Teiman abuse video and subsequent cover-up with false reports. Tomer-Yerushalmi had gone missing for several hours yesterday after leaving a note, sparking a search, before being found alive. Channel 12 news reported this morning that police suspect Tomer-Yerushalmi staged her disappearance and the concerning note to dispose of a phone possibly containing incriminating information. Police stated yesterday that the pair are suspected of "leaking and other serious criminal offenses." The remand hearing for Tomer-Yerushalmi and Solomosh was scheduled for 11 a.m. at the Tel Aviv Magistrate's Court. President Donald Trump conferred with the parents of fallen hostage Omer Neutra, Ronan and Orna Neutra, on November 3rd, 2025, discussing the return of other abductees. The Neutras informed President Trump that at least eight additional abductees need to be returned, including American citizen Itay Chen. The bodies of Colonel Asaf Hamami, Captain Omer Neutra, and Staff Sergeant Oz Daniel were returned to Israel by Hamas last night after identification efforts.
