The operation, led by the Southern Command and supported by the AMM, utilized aircraft to strike Abu Zebida in the Borge area. Abu Zebida held a senior leadership role, responsible for the organization's policy, planning, and execution in Judea and Samaria, the Gaza Strip, and Sinai, according to the IDF. The IDF stated that the ISIS terrorist organization actively participated in fighting against IDF forces in Gaza and was involved in transferring weapons and recruiting funds from Judea and Samaria to Gaza. The elimination of Abu Zebida marks a significant blow to the organization's operations in the region. In separate incidents, an interceptor was launched in the Gaza envelope area earlier today due to IDF activity, though it was later determined to be a false alarm. Warnings were activated according to policy. Separately, a soldier was seriously injured during training at a military base in central Israel earlier today and was evacuated to a hospital; their family has been notified. Additionally, according to documents obtained by The Daily Wire, Senator Marco Rubio intends to deny Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas entry into the U.S. for the upcoming UN General Assembly. This action comes as several countries are reportedly planning to recognize a Palestinian State.
