Hamas military spokesman Abu Obaida was reportedly eliminated in an Israeli strike on an apartment in western Gaza City yesterday, according to Israel's Defense Minister Yoav Gallant. The timing of the announcement was confirmed by Defense Minister Gallant this morning. It remains unclear at the moment if the attempt was successful. Defense Minister Gallant stated, "Hamas terror spokesman Abu Obaida is eliminated in Gaza, and is sent to meet all the awnings of evil from Iran, Gaza, Lebanon and Yemen at the bottom of the hell." He congratulated the IDF and the GSS for the "perfect performance." The report of Abu Obaida's elimination was also confirmed by Defense Minister Katz. An IDF fighter was lightly wounded earlier on Sunday due to anti-aircraft fire towards the power in the northern Gaza Strip. The soldier was evacuated for medical treatment at a hospital, and their family has been updated. Separately, Hamas official Hazem Naeem, identified as having held Emily Damari hostage, was reportedly eliminated, according to N12 News. In other news, former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee criticized a reported new flotilla heading to Gaza, questioning why "outrage over 1200 Jews being massacred & raped & 250 hostages being tortured by savages of Hamas" is not expressed.
