The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) recovered the body of Idan Shawl, who was kidnapped from the Nova music festival on October 7, from the Gaza Strip. The operation was conducted by a joint effort of the IDF's Official Headquarters in the Intelligence Division and the GSS. Shawl, 28, was murdered by Hamas terrorists after working to save others at the festival. The complex rescue operation involved IDF forces from the Southern Command, along with specialist and special forces. Following an identification procedure at the National Forensic Medicine Center, in coordination with the Israeli Police and the Military Rabbinate, Shawl's family was notified. Shawl was originally kidnapped from Tel Gama. In a separate incident, reserve fighter Ariel Lubiner was killed yesterday around 11 PM during a logistical convoy in Khan Yunis, Gaza. Initial investigations suggest the incident involved an unintentional ball emission by friendly forces, and the event is still under investigation. Meanwhile, medical services in Gaza reported 4 martyrs and 18 injuries following the targeting of a residential building in the Al-Remal neighborhood, bringing the total casualties to 7 martyrs and 25 injured. Reports indicate that 48 kidnappers are currently held in Gaza, with 20 of them identified.
