Armed suspects disguised as IDF fighters robbed Palestinian gold and jewelry stores in Dahariya south of Mount Hebron over the past 90 minutes, prompting large IDF forces to chase them as the army emphasized these are not IDF soldiers, Channel 12 journalist Yoav Zitun reported on X. Zitun described the incident as a super unusual event occurring in recent hours. Earlier today, Israel Police identified suspects in the robbery as Bedouins from southern unrecognized villages who drove a vehicle modified to resemble a security vehicle with emergency lights and wore IDF uniforms, bulletproof vests, helmets and weapons, according to journalist Amit Segal on X citing a police statement. IDF and Israel Police pursued the suspects and opened fire during the chase earlier today, with no casualties reported, as stated by @BittonRosen on X. @BittonRosen highlighted that the gear used by the robbers resembles equipment employed by IDF special units in captives area operations, according to posts from earlier this morning.
