Ronen Angel, a former hostage abducted by Hamas, has been confirmed killed by terrorists on October 7th in Kibbutz Nir Oz, his body having been held by Hamas for 743 days, according to the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Saturday, October 19th. Angel's wife, Karina, and their daughters Mika and Yuval were kidnapped at the same time but were freed from Gaza a month later. He is survived by his wife, daughters, son Tom, and brother Dani. Angel, born and raised in Tel Aviv, moved to Nir Oz in 2010. He was a photographer, a volunteer medic, a motorcyclist, and an artist. His family stated he is finally home for a proper burial, a dignity denied to him for too long. In a separate incident on Saturday, Palestinian Islamic Jihad's Tubas Battalion claimed their fighters detonated an anti-personnel explosive device targeting an Israeli military infantry force at the Tayasir Junction in central Tubas at 6:06 PM, reporting confirmed casualties and evacuation operations. The IDF confirmed on Saturday that two soldiers were wounded by an IED in Tubas. Separately, Israeli Minister Miri Regev stated on Saturday that if Hamas does not disarm after the restoration of all spaces, Israel will return to active fighting.
