Inbar Haiman, 27, and Senior Sergeant Major Muhammad el-Atrash, 39, have been confirmed dead by the IDF after their bodies were returned to Israel by Hamas last night, October 15th, 2025. The identification procedures were completed by the National Center for Forensic Medicine in cooperation with the Israel Police and the Military Rabbinate. Haiman was murdered by Hamas at the Nova music festival on October 7, 2023, and her body was abducted to Gaza. El-Atrash, a tracker in the Northern Brigade in the Gaza Strip, was killed in battle on October 7, 2023, and his body was also taken by Hamas. According to the IDF, Haiman's death was officially declared on December 15, 2023, while el-Atrash's death was declared on June 24, 2024. The IDF expressed condolences to the families and stated that efforts continue to return missing abductees, urging Hamas to fulfill its part of an agreement to return the bodies of the deceased abductees. Haiman is survived by parents and a brother. El-Atrash is survived by parents, brothers, two wives, and 13 children. Separately, Gazan reports allege that Hamas executed a mother and her two children because their father joined anti-Hamas militias. The reported victims are Yussef Hassan Abu Ajwa, his brother Zaid Hassan Abu Ajwa, and their mother, Ulfat Jihad Ab Ajwa. The father, Hassan Ab Ajwa, is reportedly part of the anti-Hamas militias operating in the Gaza Strip.
