The Israeli military announced this morning that two Hamas operatives armed with an RPG and a firearm were killed in a drone strike in Gaza City after approaching Kfir Brigade troops. The incident occurred between 8:05 AM and 8:35 AM UTC, according to the reporting window. According to the IDF, scans by troops in the area using a drone identified the two armed operatives approaching them. An Israeli Air Force Hermes 450 UAV was then directed to strike the operatives. Footage of the incident has been published by the military. Separately, a flotilla of nine boats carrying approximately 100 activists is currently heading toward Gaza in an attempt to breach Israel's naval blockade, according to statements from the activists. The latest vessel, named Conscience, departed from Italy on Wednesday. The ships are currently located near Crete and are expected to be intercepted by the Israeli Navy. This new development follows the Israeli Navy's interception of a previous flotilla. Yesterday, the Navy intercepted 41 vessels and detained 470 activists. The final vessel from that flotilla, the Marinette, which experienced mechanical issues, was intercepted early Friday morning. Processing of the detained activists occurred at Ashdod Port.
