The exchange of fire between Hamas operatives and clan elements resulted in a significant number of deaths, described as an unusual event given Hamas' control over the population. Previous reports from earlier today indicated internal clashes erupted in Khan Yunis between Hamas' SAHM unit and the Al-Mujaida clan, which resulted in between 11 and 22 Hamas fighter deaths. These clashes began after Hamas forces allegedly raided an Al-Mujaida family tent near Nasser Hospital. The Al-Mujaida clan reportedly counterattacked, capturing five Hamas operatives and seizing Hamas vehicles.
