IDF representatives confirmed this morning, October 15th, 2025, that the bodies of three kidnapped individuals—Tamir Nimrodi, Uriel Baruch Zal, and Eitan Levi Zal—have been identified and returned for burial. The confirmation followed a forensic identification process by the National Forensic Medicine Institute, in collaboration with the Israeli Police and the Military Rabbinate. The IDF is continuing its efforts to locate and return all abductees. The body of Tamir Nimrodi, 18, who was taken alive from a coordination base near the Gaza Division by Hamas, is estimated to have been killed in captivity early in the war, according to IDF intelligence. Uriel Baruch Zal, 35, was murdered by Hamas on October 7th, 2023, after escaping the Nova Festival, with his death determined on March 26th, 2024. Eitan Levi Zal, 53, was also murdered by Hamas on October 7th, 2023, and his death was determined on December 8th, 2023. All three left behind grieving families. This development comes as President Donald Trump issued a warning on October 15th, 2025, stating that Hamas must disarm or face forceful disarmament. Palestinian Authority Security Forces spokesperson Anwar Rajab also condemned Hamas's actions on October 15th, 2025, calling them "vile terrorism" and a "brutal atrocity."
