Separately, Hikmat al-Hijri has reportedly consolidated power over Druze military groups in Syria over August, uniting them under his command and ostracizing those friendly with Damascus, according to information shared on X. The security operation in Tartus is targeting a cell reportedly involved in recent attacks against security forces.
