The Governor of Aleppo announced the end of the emergency phase in Ashrafiyah and Sheikh Maqsoud districts on January 25, 2026, two weeks after these areas came under government control, according to Syria's official SANA news agency. Over 90% of displaced residents have returned during this period. SANA reported that all roads have been reopened, three new transportation lines opened, four mobile clinics deployed, and 80% of the electricity network rehabilitated. A plan is underway to rehabilitate 10 schools in the districts. Civil Defense teams continue removing SDF-YPG defensive positions and reopening secondary roads in Sheikh Maqsoud nearly two weeks after government control, as stated by monitoring account QalaatAlMudiq on X.
