Poland experienced an unprecedented violation of its airspace by drone objects overnight, described as an act of aggression that created a real threat to citizens, the RSZ Operational Command reported. Polish and NATO air defenses engaged numerous drones during the incident. NATO is consulting closely with Polish leadership, according to NATO press. Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk stated that Russian drones posing a direct threat were shot down and that he is in constant communication with the NATO Secretary General and allies. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported shooting down 413 enemy targets. Previous reports indicated that Polish airspace had reopened except for the Lublin area as of 6:00 AM UTC, following the downing of 10 "Shahed" drones. A damaged drone was confirmed discovered in Czosnówka village, eastern Poland, near the Belarus border. Earlier developments included Prime Minister Tusk convening an extraordinary meeting of the Council of Ministers and informing NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg about the incursion. The Polish military had thanked NATO Air Command and the Royal Dutch Air Force for assistance with F-35 fighters. The Territorial Defence Forces of Poland remained on heightened readiness and were monitoring the situation.
