Ukrainian Defense Forces conducted strikes on the Dmitrievska oil depot in Russia's Tambov region and damaged a surveillance post on an MSP-4 platform in the Black Sea during the night of December 3rd. The military actions, aimed at reducing Russia's military and economic potential, also resulted in the destruction of an enemy UAV calculation and damaged radar on the Sivash drilling rig, according to the General Staff. The Dmitrievska oil depot supplies the Russian army, and several tanks caught fire following the impact. The General Staff confirmed the destruction of three Orion UAVs on November 27th during an attack on the Saka airfield, each valued at approximately $5 million. Earlier on December 2nd, the "Livny" oil depot in Russia's Oryol region was targeted, resulting in two RV-5000 tanks burning. Concurrently, on December 3rd, alerts indicated heightened activity in Dnipro, with reports of "yellow-hot" conditions and a "takeoff time" of 8 minutes. Further alerts described the "launch of cabs from the southeast" and the darkening of the southern sky over Dnipro. These developments follow statements made on December 3rd by Russian aide Yuri Ushakov, who indicated that no compromise plan for ending the war in Ukraine exists following meetings with U.S. envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner. Ushakov suggested Russian efforts are focused on delaying negotiations. U.S. envoys Witkoff and Kushner had previously canceled a planned meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in Brussels on December 3rd, with the Kremlin stating the envoys intended to return to Washington after their Moscow talks.
