Lublin Airport in Eastern Poland closed to all aviation operations at approximately 2:32 PM UTC on September 13th due to "unplanned military activity related to ensuring state security," according to the Polish Air Navigation Services Agency (PANSA). An aircraft en route to Lublin was diverted to Warsaw. The closure occurred amid reports of "enemy tactical aviation activity" in southeastern directions and "threat of impacts of unmanned aerial vehicles in the regions of Ukraine bordering Poland," as stated by the Air Force of Ukraine and Polish media. PANSA confirmed the closure of the airport and its controlled zone to aviation operations due to military aviation activities, with further updates to be provided. Polish media outlet TVN24 reported that military aviation operations began in response to the threat of drone impacts in Ukrainian regions bordering Poland. Flights scheduled for Lublin are being rerouted to Warsaw Chopin Airport. This situation develops within the same reporting window that saw the Air Force of Ukraine report activity of "enemy tactical aviation" and the use of aircraft for damage to frontal areas. Earlier in the reporting period, Ukrainian forces conducted air operations over the Donetsk region, deploying managed aviation bombs, as confirmed by the Air Force of Ukraine. The previous report also noted Ukrainian drone strikes on the Novo-Ufa Oil Refinery in Ufa, Russia, which caused visible flames and smoke. The refinery is over 1,350 km from the frontline.
