Over the past hour, a Russian war correspondent has reported that Ukrainian drones have reduced the chances of reaching front lines to 50/50, and the life expectancy of a Russian assault soldier in Ukraine is now 12 days. This development comes as Ukraine continues to bolster its missile and drone production capabilities. Details on Ukraine's long-range Neptune cruise missile, published on X by @ukraine_map, indicate a maximum range of 1,000km, a speed of 0.72 Mach, and an accuracy of 5 to 15 meters Circular Error Probable (CEP). Each missile costs approximately $1.5 million and carries a warhead of around 150kg. Production rates for the Neptune missile are estimated between 3 to 8 units per month. These reports follow earlier announcements on October 6th, 2025, where Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that Ukraine's military-industrial complex would receive $35 billion in 2026 for drone and missile production. Zelensky also set a goal for domestically produced weapons to constitute 50% of those used by defense forces by the end of 2026 and instructed the export of Ukrainian weapons. Previous reports also indicated estimated Russian casualty figures published by the Ukrainian project "I Want to Live" (Проект «Хочу жить»), which reported 281,550 individuals killed, wounded, or missing between January and September 2025, including 86,744 deaths.
