Multiple regions across Ukraine, including Kyiv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Poltava, and Khmelnytskyi, experienced a massive Russian missile and drone attack early on July 21st, UTC. Kyiv is under "massive attack of enemy UAVs," according to the Air Force of Ukraine, with reports of continuous attacks from all directions and significant smoke on Lukyanovskaya street. Ivano-Frankivsk experienced its largest attack since the start of the full-scale invasion, with civilian and critical infrastructure hit, as stated by the mayor. Air defense systems were active across Ukraine, with multiple reports of ballistic threats and cruise missiles. The Air Force of Ukraine reported UAVs in Chernihiv, Kyiv, Khmelnytskyi, Lviv, and Mykolaiv regions. Rockets were also reported heading towards Mirgorod district, Poltava region, and through Kharkiv region. In Moscow, Mayor Sobyanin reported that 13 drones were shot down on July 21st. Specific targets of cruise missiles included Ladyzhin, Sittivka, Mankivka, New Sanzhars, Reshetilovka, Poltava, Boromlyu, Kopychynka (Ternopil region), Chemerivka, Smotrich, and Dunaivka (Khmelnytskyi region), according to Strategic Aviation of the Russian Federation. Ballistic missiles, potentially Iskander or S-300/S-400 systems, were also a threat from the southeast, and a "dagger" missile was reported in Khmelnytskyi region heading towards Starokostiantyniv. There were also reports of 3 Su-57 aircraft from Akhtbunisko, with an expectation of X-59/69 missile launches. Separately, two Tu-95MS aircraft landed at the Engels-2 airfield in Saratov region. In Donetsk Oblast, a Ukrainian Air Force MiG-29 Fulcrum dropped a US-supplied 500 lb JDAM-ER guided bomb on a Russian position, as reported by OSINT technical on July 21st.
