Explosions were heard in Zaporizhzhia and the surrounding region on October 6th between 8:04 AM and 8:34 AM UTC as the city came under attack by guided aerial bombs. Local channels reported at least four explosions during this period, with smoke rising over the city. In the Lyman direction, a pilot from the SIGNUM battalion eliminated a Russian motorcyclist and a quad bike with its occupant. Separately, an An-28 aircraft used by Ukraine against Russian drones has reportedly accumulated kill marks for dozens of aerial targets, including one of Ukraine's own Liutyi-type drones that may have gone off course, according to reports. Previous reports from the night of October 5th-6th detailed Ukrainian drone strikes on the Feodosia oil transshipment terminal in occupied Crimea, causing a significant fire. This followed extensive Russian assaults on October 5th, which involved 549 drones and missiles and resulted in civilian casualties across Ukraine, including five deaths and 10 injuries nationwide, according to Euromaidan Press. Ukrainian forces had also reportedly struck power plants in Klintsy and Belgorod in retaliation for the Russian offensive.
