Ukrainian intelligence reported that Ukraine struck an underground explosives warehouse at the Aleksinsky Chemical Plant in Tula Oblast overnight, a facility located over 1000 kilometers from Ukrainian territory. The strike targeted a warehouse storing pyroxylin powder, a component used in ammunition for rifles, artillery, and rocket engines. This operation is part of a broader Ukrainian strategy to systematically target Russian military supply facilities, aiming to degrade Russia's capacity to wage and finance its war effort. The Aleksinsky Chemical Plant is a significant facility for the production of materials essential for military ordnance. In addition to the strike on the chemical plant, Ukrainian forces also targeted two Russian oil refineries on the night of August 30th. These actions are consistent with Ukraine's ongoing efforts to disrupt fuel supplies crucial for Russian military units operating in the conflict zone.
