The analysis suggests that by pressuring these towns, Russia aims to prevent Ukrainian counteroffensives and potentially sever a land bridge. The report also noted the destruction of two Ukrainian T-64 tanks in Mala Tokmachka while attempting to counter Russian advances, indicating potential infantry shortages in the sector. In a related incident on October 20th, a large Russian mechanized assault on Mala Tokmachka was reportedly repelled by Ukrainian forces.
