Ukrainian soldiers from the 92nd Assault Brigade, who were encircled near Pokrovsk in the Donetsk region for nearly two weeks, have received state awards from the President for their courage. The soldiers successfully broke out of the encirclement and returned to their lines, according to a social media post from a Ukrainian source. The soldiers, participating in the "18-24 program," were able to evade Russian knowledge of their presence while surrounded, with the enemy continuing to operate under the assumption they were in secure rear areas. The breakthrough and evacuation were planned by command after the soldiers re-established contact. The post highlighted the fighters' courage despite their young age, stating they received orders for courage. This development follows previous reports detailing ongoing conflict in the Donetsk region, including a Russian strike in Yarova earlier on September 9th that resulted in at least 21 deaths and 21 injuries, according to the regional administration. Poland also announced it would close its borders with Belarus starting September 12th due to joint Russian-Belarusian military exercises.
