The Sudan Doctors Network has accused the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) of committing genocide in El Fasher, stating that over half a million citizens face daily death from starvation and disease due to the RSF's siege and blockage of food and medicine. The organization highlighted the World Health Organization's recent recognition of famine in the city as both late and shocking. This statement was made via a WhatsApp channel and shared on X by the Sudan Doctors Network. Dr. Razan Elmahdi, spokesperson for the Sudan Doctors Network, stated that the situation in El Fasher is a "full-blown genocide" and placed direct responsibility on the RSF for besieging civilians and preventing essential supplies. She emphasized that the international community must move beyond words and take "real, urgent action to lift the siege immediately." Elmahdi further warned that "every minute of delay means more victims and more children crippled by hunger," and characterized the international community's neglect and silence as complicity in the alleged crime, according to the statement released this morning.
